Our rating is an editorial shorthand for clarity and checkability. It is not a safety certificate, popularity score or imitation of official approval.
The non-negotiable gate
We require an active Gambling Commission remote casino permission for the legal operator, an active registered destination domain and a working route to that destination. The casino must be independent of Jackpot Lane. If one of those points fails, a high score elsewhere cannot rescue inclusion.
The scored questions
Licence traceability: Can a reader move cleanly from brand to legal company, account and remote casino reference?
Destination consistency: Does the link land on the registered domain without an unrelated chain or disguised exit?
Legal clarity: Do the public terms identify the contracting operator and distinguish the relevant British service?
Safer-gambling access: Are limits, time away, self-exclusion and support routes explained in places a visitor can reasonably find?
Usability: Can the core information be read on a phone and desktop without promotional material obscuring it?
What the stars mean
Scores near five indicate unusually clear public information across the criteria. A score near four is solid but leaves some friction or context for the reader to resolve. We do not publish low-scoring unverified destinations merely to create drama, because the first gate is eligibility, not entertainment.
What is not scored
Luck, alleged “hot” games, chances of winning, unverified payout claims and invented customer sentiment never enter the method. We also exclude fast-moving commercial facts unless the exact current condition can be supported and adds genuine comparison value.
When a score changes
A new licensee, redirected domain, clearer terms, removed safer-gambling route or changed regulatory status can alter the assessment. The displayed check date tells readers when the underlying record was reviewed. Supported corrections are welcome.
Commercial position
Commission relationships may affect placement among eligible casinos. They do not alter the gate, manufacture a licence or turn a paid position into a factual endorsement. Read the affiliate disclosure for the full distinction.
