Editorial policy

Trace the claim. Explain the judgement.

Our method separates checkable facts from editorial opinion and leaves out details that cannot be supported reliably.

Source hierarchy

For Great Britain licensing, the Gambling Commission public register is the primary source. Operator terms, legal pages and safer-gambling pages are used for the operator's current wording and service context. Independent support organisations are used for help routes. Promotional claims are not repeated merely because another comparison site publishes them.

Verification

Before publication, we match each casino's active remote permission, legal licensee, account reference and destination domain. We open the destination and use the registered route. If a mandatory element cannot be checked, the operator is not included in the live comparison.

Ratings

Stars are Jackpot Lane's editorial scores. They consider licence traceability, clarity of legal identity, destination consistency, public terms and access to safer-gambling information. A score does not measure luck, predict returns or reproduce a regulator's judgement. Closely related brands can receive different assessments when their public information is presented differently.

Facts we normally omit

Bonus values, withdrawal times, support hours, payment availability, provider lists and game counts can change quickly or differ by account. We leave them out unless the operator's current material supports the exact statement and the context is useful. We do not invent user reviews, staff biographies, awards or business history.

Commercial separation

Commercial relationships may affect placement among eligible operators. They do not alter a public licence record or permit unsupported claims. Sponsored outbound links are labelled through standard link attributes, and the affiliate relationship is disclosed before the comparison buttons.

Updates and corrections

Pages show their check date. When evidence changes, the useful response may be to amend wording, update a destination, change a score or remove an operator. Readers can submit evidence through the corrections route.
